BJP Leader BL Santhosh Urges Telangana Cadre to Stay Loyal to Party, Not Individuals

Senior BJP leader B. L. Santhosh has called on party workers in Telangana to place the organisation above individual leaders, sending a clear message about unity and discipline within the state unit. Addressing a workshop in Hyderabad attended by district-level leaders and members of the newly formed state committee, Santhosh stressed that the strength of the BJP lies in collective effort rather than personal camps or internal groupings.

His remarks come at a time when the Telangana BJP is preparing for upcoming local body and future electoral battles, with the leadership keen to ensure internal cohesion. Santhosh told party workers that their primary responsibility is to serve the party’s larger vision and ideology, urging them not to align themselves with specific leaders or factions. According to him, such tendencies weaken the organisation and distract from its long-term goals.

During his address, Santhosh openly flagged what he described as a worrying trend within the state unit, where some members were gravitating towards camps led by senior leaders. He emphasised that loyalty should remain with the BJP as an institution and not be tied to individuals. The party, he said, has grown because of disciplined cadre who prioritise organisational interests over personal equations, and this culture must be preserved in Telangana as well.

Santhosh also spoke about the recent restructuring of the state committee, led by N. Ramchander Rao, explaining that leadership changes are part of a strategic process aimed at strengthening the party. Drawing a historical analogy, he referred to former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, noting how leadership choices often depend on the demands of the time. The message, he said, was that the BJP understands when and how to reorganise its teams to meet political challenges.

Party insiders indicated that the speech was not just routine organisational guidance but a subtle attempt to address internal tensions and reinforce unity ahead of key elections. Leaders present at the meeting said the message was meant to encourage cooperation and ensure that the party machinery works in a coordinated manner across districts.

With Telangana emerging as an important political battleground, the BJP leadership appears focused on strengthening its grassroots network and maintaining internal discipline. Santhosh’s message, party leaders say, is aimed at ensuring that cadre remain united, focused, and committed to the party’s broader mission as it prepares for future electoral contests.
