Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan on Monday concluded its four-day Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 in New Delhi with a series of ambitious announcements, including a plan to establish schools in every district of India by 2030 and the launch of a nationwide de-addiction awareness campaign. The organisation also unveiled plans to introduce Vidya Bharati TV, a dedicated platform for educational and cultural content, signaling a push toward digital outreach and wider engagement.
The concluding session, attended by around 350 office-bearers from across the country, focused on strengthening value-based education and expanding the organisation’s presence in underserved regions. Speakers at the event emphasized that education should not be limited to academic learning but must also nurture character, national consciousness, and social responsibility among students, especially in a rapidly changing global environment.
Senior RSS functionary Dr. Krishna Gopal, along with Vidya Bharati’s national leadership including President Dr. Ravindra Kanhere and General Secretary Deshraj Sharma, addressed the gathering and underlined the organisation’s role in nation-building through culturally rooted education. The discussions over the four days covered key issues such as improving educational quality, integrating India’s traditional knowledge systems, implementing the National Education Policy effectively, and adapting to technological changes in the education sector.
One of the major announcements was the goal of expanding Vidya Bharati’s school network to every district by 2030, which would significantly increase its reach across rural and semi-urban areas. The organisation also announced a nationwide campaign against substance abuse, aiming to create awareness among students and communities about the dangers of addiction and promote healthier lifestyles.
In addition, a pilot project to set up 50 women’s skill development centres was unveiled, with the objective of promoting self-reliance and vocational training for women. Vidya Bharati also announced that it will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2027 with an Amrit Mahotsav, focusing on expanding its educational initiatives and strengthening its institutional network.
The launch of Vidya Bharati TV and new digital education platforms reflects the organisation’s attempt to combine traditional values with modern technology. The AGM concluded with participants pledging to work collectively toward the goal of nation-building through education, highlighting Vidya Bharati’s continued focus on expanding its social and educational outreach.
