RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that India’s rise as a global leader depends on a united and confident society rooted in its civilisational values. Addressing RSS workers in Nagpur, Bhagwat asserted that India’s mission is not to dominate other nations but to offer the world a path based on Dharma, harmony and collective well-being.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the RSS Karyakarta Vikas Varg-Dwitiya training camp at Reshimbagh Ground, Bhagwat said India faces continuous attempts to weaken its social fabric. He cautioned that forces, both within and outside the country, are trying to create divisions and undermine India’s cultural traditions, but stressed that such challenges should not distract the nation from its larger responsibility.
According to Bhagwat, India’s civilisational philosophy gives it a unique role in the changing global order. However, he noted that ideals alone are not enough in international affairs. A nation must also possess economic, strategic and military strength if it wants its voice to be heard on the global stage.
He observed that recent international conflicts have once again demonstrated how power shapes global politics. Without referring to any specific country, Bhagwat said wars, military interventions, economic blockades and disruptions to energy supplies ultimately affect not only the nations involved but also countries far removed from the conflict. These developments, he said, underline the importance of building a strong and self-reliant India.
The RSS chief said India’s vision of becoming “Param Vaibhav Sampann” is not driven by ambitions of global dominance. Instead, he described it as the aspiration to become a nation that combines prosperity, strength and moral character, enabling it to provide constructive leadership to the world.
Bhagwat also expressed optimism about India’s future, saying that conditions are increasingly favourable for national growth and development. He urged citizens not to lose confidence during difficult times, adding that societies built on discipline, unity and self-belief are better equipped to overcome adversity.
Emphasising the importance of social cohesion, he said the country’s progress depends on nurturing responsible, capable and value-driven individuals who are committed to nation-building. Such people, he said, create an environment where long-term national transformation becomes possible.
Concluding his address, Bhagwat said the RSS remains committed to preparing dedicated volunteers who can contribute to strengthening society and helping India fulfil what he described as its larger civilisational responsibility. He reiterated that a united, culturally rooted and confident India would be better positioned to emerge as a guiding force for the world.
