By Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday assured complete support from the Central Government to Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland as both states continue to deal with the impact of severe flooding. During a meeting with Members of Parliament from the two northeastern states at Parliament House, the Prime Minister reviewed the evolving situation and discussed measures to strengthen relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Emphasising the need for close coordination, Modi assured the MPs that the Centre would work alongside the respective state governments to ensure timely assistance reaches affected communities. He also expressed concern for those impacted by the floods and prayed for the safety and well-being of all residents.
According to the Prime Minister, the discussions primarily focused on the flood situation, the immediate challenges faced by the affected regions, and the support required for relief operations. He reaffirmed the Central Government’s commitment to extending every possible help until normalcy is restored.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who was present during the interaction, said the Prime Minister issued necessary directions to ensure relief measures are implemented without delay. The discussions also covered restoration of damaged infrastructure and continued support for families affected by the natural disaster.
The Centre has assured that it will remain in constant coordination with the governments of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland to monitor the situation and respond promptly to emerging requirements. Relief, rehabilitation and restoration efforts are expected to continue in the coming days as authorities assess the extent of the damage.
