RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is scheduled to attend the seventh anniversary celebrations of the Brahma Kumaris’ Vishwa Shanti Sarovar in Nagpur on Thursday, where he will also address a public gathering focused on spirituality, social harmony and value-based living.
The event is expected to draw a large number of followers, volunteers and spiritual leaders from across Maharashtra. Organisers say the programme will highlight the role of spiritual institutions in promoting peace, discipline and social awareness in modern society.
Vishwa Shanti Sarovar, inaugurated in 2018, has emerged as one of the major spiritual and meditation centres in central India. Spread across nearly 1.11 lakh square feet, the campus serves as a hub for meditation sessions, educational programmes and community activities centred on mental well-being and moral values.
According to Brahma Kumaris representatives, the anniversary event will include cultural programmes, meditation sessions and discussions on the importance of inner peace in today’s fast-changing world. Bhagwat’s presence is being seen as significant, given the RSS chief’s frequent emphasis on social unity, cultural identity and value-driven public life.
Nagpur, which is also the headquarters of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, often hosts major ideological and social events connected to national and cultural organisations. Bhagwat’s address is expected to touch upon the importance of spiritual consciousness and collective responsibility in nation-building.
Over the years, Vishwa Shanti Sarovar has become known not only as a spiritual retreat but also as a centre promoting education, meditation and community outreach initiatives. Organisers say the institution continues to attract people from different backgrounds seeking guidance on stress management, self-discipline and holistic living.
