Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar Enters ₹1,000 Crore Club in Just 21 Days, Becomes 2025’s Biggest Indian Box Office Hit
Aditya Dhar’s spy-thriller Dhurandhar has achieved a historic box office milestone, crossing the ₹1,000 crore mark worldwide within just 21 days of its release. The film has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2025, marking a major achievement for Hindi cinema and setting new benchmarks for the industry.
Led by Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar has collected an impressive ₹668.80 crore nett at the Indian box office, while its worldwide gross now stands at ₹1,006.7 crore, according to an official statement from the film’s team. With this feat, the film has surpassed the lifetime global collection of Kantara: Chapter 1, which earned around ₹850 crore earlier this year.
The film showed exceptional momentum in its third week. On Day 21, Dhurandhar recorded a strong surge in footfall, earning an estimated ₹26–28.6 crore nett in India—nearly matching its opening day collection of ₹28.6 crore. This remarkable consistency pushed its domestic total to ₹668.80 crore nett.

By Day 20, the film had already amassed nearly ₹944 crore globally, and its powerful Day 21 performance firmly pushed it past the coveted ₹1,000 crore milestone. This extraordinary run has positioned Dhurandhar among the biggest box office successes of the year.
The film has also played a significant role in defining Bollywood’s performance in 2025. It is only the second Hindi film of the year, after Chhaava, to dominate both box office numbers and public discourse. While Chhaava set the pace early in the year, Dhurandhar has delivered a strong finish, renewing confidence in the Hindi film industry.
Featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Saumya Tandon, Danish Pandor and Sara Arjun, Dhurandhar has resonated strongly with audiences across markets. The second installment of the franchise is slated for a worldwide release on 19 March 2026 in five languages.
With its record-breaking collections and sustained audience interest, Dhurandhar stands tall as one of the most successful and talked-about Indian films of 2025.
