By The Haryana government has intensified preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Jind on July 17, with the state administration putting in place an extensive coordination plan to ensure the event is conducted smoothly. As part of these arrangements, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has assigned additional senior officers to assist the district administration in managing the high-profile visit.
According to official orders, two IAS officers and four HCS officers have been temporarily posted in Jind to strengthen administrative coordination. The move is aimed at ensuring seamless execution of security measures, protocol arrangements, crowd management and other logistical requirements ahead of the Prime Minister’s programme.
The officers deputed for the assignment include IAS officers Yash Julka and Vivek Arya, along with HCS officers Jagdeep Singh, Manish Kumar Lohan, Sanjay Bishnoi, and Rajesh Khoth. They will function under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Jind and take up responsibilities as assigned by the district administration.
Officials said the additional deployment is intended to improve coordination among various government departments involved in the visit. The officers are expected to oversee key areas such as traffic regulation, security arrangements, VIP movement, public event management and inter-departmental communication to ensure that all preparations are completed within the stipulated timeline.
One of the major highlights of the Prime Minister’s visit will be the launch of India’s first hydrogen-powered train from Jind. The project is being viewed as a landmark initiative in the country’s transition towards clean and sustainable transportation. Railway officials believe the hydrogen-powered train represents a significant step in reducing carbon emissions while promoting green technology in public transport.
Besides inaugurating the hydrogen train, Prime Minister Modi is also expected to address a large public gathering in Jind. With thousands of people likely to attend, authorities are making elaborate arrangements for parking, traffic movement, medical services, drinking water facilities and emergency response systems.
Senior officials from multiple departments have been holding regular review meetings to monitor the progress of preparations. The state government has directed all concerned agencies to maintain close coordination so that every aspect of the Prime Minister’s visit is managed efficiently.
The deployment of additional administrative officers reflects the government’s effort to ensure that the programme is conducted without disruptions while maintaining high standards of security and public convenience. With just days remaining before the visit, preparations have entered their final phase as Haryana gears up to host one of its most significant official events of the year.
