BJP’s post-2024 revival is underway — one state at a time.

The BJP is steadily rebuilding after its 2024 Lok Sabha setback — and the comeback is visible across states. In all six major states that voted post-2024 — Bihar, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Delhi — the party improved its tally.

In Bihar, the NDA’s landslide, with a strike rate near 90%, signaled the sharpest turnaround. BJP jumped from leads in 68 Assembly segments in 2024 to 89 seats in the state election. JD(U) also gained, reaffirming the NDA’s strong ground network.

This pattern repeats across states. The BJP’s lead rose from 319 Assembly segments to 367 wins — a net gain of 48, enough to impact 7–8 Lok Sabha seats. Maharashtra showcased the biggest leap, from 79 to 132, while Haryana saw a smaller but clear rise, from 44 to 48. Even in Delhi, the BJP held its advantage against AAP.

Despite the Lok Sabha setback, victories in four out of six states show the BJP’s organisation remains intact and is driving a state-wise rebound.

Meanwhile, the Congress continues to slip. Maharashtra saw its tally crash from 63 to 16. Bihar dropped from 12 to six, and Haryana from 42 to 37. Even in Delhi, there are few signs of revival.

Regional parties, however, remain strong. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha rose from 14 to 34 seats, NCP from six to 41 in Maharashtra, and Shiv Sena from 40 to 57 — proof that local networks and loyalties still shape state outcomes.
