CM Nayab Saini Confident of BJP’s Fourth Straight Win in Haryana, Announces Development Projects Worth ₹1.08 Crore

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will retain power in the state for a fourth consecutive term in the 2029 Assembly elections, asserting that the government’s record on development, transparent governance and public welfare would earn it another mandate from the people.

Addressing thanksgiving programmes in the villages of Bhalad, Dhanora Jatan and Bhaini, the Chief Minister said the BJP government has focused on delivering its promises rather than making political rhetoric. He also announced development projects worth a total of ₹1.08 crore for the three villages, with residents welcoming him with traditional honours and cultural performances.

Saini said the state government has made significant progress in implementing its commitments. According to him, out of 217 promises outlined by the government, 66 have already been fulfilled within the first 18 months, while the remaining commitments are targeted for completion during the current year. He maintained that every policy and project is aimed at ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society.

During his visit to Dhanora Jatan, the Chief Minister assured villagers that the nine demands submitted by the village panchayat would be considered after receiving departmental reports. He also announced ₹21 lakh for a new drinking water pipeline and another ₹21 lakh for local development works. Saini said projects worth around ₹92 lakh have already been completed in the village over the past few years.

In Bhalad village, he announced ₹14 lakh for strengthening the drinking water supply network and ₹31 lakh for constructing a community centre. He also assured residents that other demands raised by the village leadership would be addressed in a phased manner. According to the Chief Minister, development works worth approximately ₹44 lakh have already been executed in the village.

For Bhaini village, Saini sanctioned ₹21 lakh for additional infrastructure projects, noting that works valued at nearly ₹46 lakh had already been completed there. He said the government’s objective is to ensure balanced development across both urban and rural Haryana.

Highlighting broader infrastructure initiatives, Saini said the Ladwa Assembly constituency is witnessing rapid development, with construction of a new Mini Secretariat underway and the upgradation of the Dhanora Jatan stadium progressing. He added that the state government is investing in improving roads, drinking water, public buildings and other essential facilities across Haryana.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s healthcare initiatives, stating that government hospitals are being upgraded with facilities comparable to private institutions. He said 16 hospitals have already been modernised, while more hospitals will be included in the programme in the coming years.

Referring to the Ayushman Bharat and Chirayu health schemes, Saini said nearly 1.5 crore beneficiaries in Haryana are covered under the programmes, with around 27 lakh families already receiving medical benefits. He added that the state has spent nearly ₹4,500 crore on treatment under these healthcare initiatives.

On employment, Saini reiterated that government recruitment is being carried out solely on merit without recommendations or monetary influence. He said appointment letters had been distributed to 25,000 youths even before the present government assumed office, while recruitment for police personnel, forest guards, Group D employees and Assistant District Attorneys is currently underway.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the government’s housing initiatives, saying Haryana is implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing housing for every family. Landless poor families in rural areas are being allotted 100-square-yard plots, while eligible beneficiaries in urban areas are receiving 30-square-yard plots. Affordable housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is also being expanded to ensure more families have access to permanent homes.

Senior government officials, public representatives and BJP leaders accompanied the Chief Minister during the events, which witnessed large public participation across the three villages.
