By The Haryana government has ordered a major reshuffle of IPS and HPS officers, bringing changes to senior police postings across Gurgaon, Manesar and Faridabad. The immediate-effect order includes new Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) for South Gurgaon and Manesar, along with several changes in the Faridabad police commissionerate and postings in other districts.
The reshuffle, issued by the state Home Department on Sunday, moves several officers into new operational and administrative roles. Ayush Yadav, Prateek Gahlot and Rajesh Kumar are among the IPS officers transferred, while a number of HPS officers have also been reassigned to different districts and police units.
Ayush Yadav, a 2022-batch IPS officer who was serving as DCP (East), Sonipat, with additional charge as Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau, has been appointed DCP, South Gurgaon. He replaces Hitesh Yadav, who has been transferred to Bahadurgarh as DCP.
Prateek Gahlot, a 2021-batch IPS officer currently serving as DCP (Traffic), Gurgaon, and holding charge of the Monitoring and Evaluation Research Cell (MERC), has been posted as DCP, Manesar. He will also take additional charge as Commandant of the 4th Indian Reserve Battalion in Manesar.
Gahlot replaces Parbina P, a 2020-batch officer, who has been transferred to Ambala Cantt as SP, Government Railway Police.
Another significant change involves Rajesh Kumar, a 2014-batch IPS officer who was serving as SP, State Crime Branch, with additional responsibilities for community policing, outreach and security in Gurgaon. He has now been posted as SP, Law and Order, Panchkula. Kumar will also hold additional charge as SP, Special Task Force and Social Outreach in Panchkula.
Changes in Faridabad Police
The reshuffle also brings changes to key positions in Faridabad. Rajesh Mohan, a 2021-batch IPS officer serving as DCP, Crime, has been transferred as DCP, Central Faridabad.
He will be replaced in the crime wing by Jaibir Singh, who was serving as DCP (Traffic), Faridabad.
Usha Devi, who was serving as DCP, Central Faridabad, has been transferred as SP, State Crime Branch. She will also hold additional charge as SP, Social Outreach.
The order also includes several HPS-level changes. Bhartender Kumar, currently serving as DSP with the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, has been transferred to Palwal as DSP. Anil Kumar, who was DSP, Palwal, has been posted as ACP, Gurgaon.
Narender Kumar, currently serving as ACP, Faridabad, has been transferred as DSP, Hansi.
Postings in Bahadurgarh, Hansi and Other Districts
The government order extends beyond the major police commissionerates. Ramesh Gulia, currently DSP, Kaithal, has been posted as ACP, Bahadurgarh.
Dinesh Kumar, who was serving as ACP, Bahadurgarh, has been transferred as DSP, Hansi.
The order covers officers in Jhajjar, Sonipat and other parts of the state as part of the wider police restructuring.
The transfer and posting order was issued by Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Haryana Home Department, and the changes are effective immediately.
