By The team behind Cocktail is gearing up for its much-awaited sequel, Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
The original 2012 hit, featuring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, was directed by Homi Adajania — who returns to helm the sequel with a brand-new cast and storyline. However, production has come to a temporary halt due to unforeseen circumstances.
The film’s Delhi shooting schedule, initially planned for December, has been postponed. The decision follows escalating air pollution levels in the capital and a recent attack near the Red Fort, prompting safety concerns for the crew.
Filming was slated to take place across South, Central, and Old Delhi, including several university campuses. Fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Shahid, Kriti, and Rashmika shooting in the city will now have to wait until the schedule is revised.
