Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ has opened strongly at the box office, showing excellent momentum through its first weekend both in India and overseas. The emotional romantic drama has struck a chord with audiences, pushing its worldwide weekend collection past ₹65 crore.
The film earned ₹16 crore on opening day, becoming the second-highest opener of the year after Saiyaara, which featured debut actors. Directed by Anand L Rai, the film continued its strong run through the weekend, collecting ₹62 crore in India over the first three days. Major metros like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Pune, and Hyderabad reported robust footfalls, while mass circuits also exceeded expectations.
Currently, Tere Ishk Mein faces no major box-office competition, but that may change with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ releasing this Friday.
According to Sacnilk, after crossing ₹60 crore on Monday, the film collected ₹10.25 crore by Tuesday afternoon, taking its domestic total to ₹71 crore net. The Tuesday growth is attributed to discounted ticket pricing.
The film has also become Dhanush’s biggest Hindi hit, surpassing his earlier film Raanjhanaa, which had a lifetime total of ₹60 crore. Tere Ishk Mein crossed that milestone within just four days.
The movie now ranks 9th among Kriti Sanon’s highest-grossing films, joining the list featuring Housefull 4, Dilwale, Adipurush, Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya, and Crew.
