“On behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, I extend my warmest congratulations to President Donald Trump and the people of the United States on the historic 250th anniversary of your Independence,” Modi wrote. He added that the two democracies share a deep belief in democratic institutions, the rule of law and the limitless potential of their citizens.
Highlighting the growing ties between New Delhi and Washington, the Prime Minister said the friendship between the two nations has evolved into a force for global good. He expressed hope that the coming years would bring greater opportunities for cooperation across sectors while strengthening bilateral relations.
Modi also wished the United States continued success in the years ahead, saying, “May the next 250 years bring even greater prosperity, peace and progress for America and take the India-US partnership to new heights.”
