EKA Mobility Inaugurates Six Manufacturing Facilities in Pune; BL Santhosh Attends

BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santhosh attended the inauguration of six manufacturing facilities of EKA Mobility as a guest in Pune, marking a significant development for India’s electric commercial vehicle sector. The company also unveiled a range of new vehicles, including an 18-metre-long electric bus and heavy-duty electric trucks, alongside the launch of its expanded manufacturing infrastructure.

Sharing details of the event in a Facebook post, Santhosh congratulated EKA Mobility and its leadership, particularly Dr Sudhir Mehta, for building the facilities across Pune and Pitampura. He said the new manufacturing capacity and vehicles would give fresh momentum to clean and green mobility options on Indian roads.

EKA Expands Electric Vehicle Manufacturing

The six facilities are part of EKA Mobility’s efforts to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and expand its electric commercial vehicle portfolio. The newly introduced range includes an 18-metre-long bus and heavy-duty electric trucks, targeting the growing demand for cleaner transport solutions in public mobility and logistics.

Santhosh highlighted the scale of the company’s expansion and praised Dr Sudhir Mehta and his team for their efforts in developing the manufacturing infrastructure.

Electric Buses Operating in Several Indian Cities

According to Santhosh’s post, EKA’s electric buses are already operating in Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Ayodhya and Tirupati. The company has also begun exporting its vehicles to several countries, extending its presence beyond the domestic market.

Describing the development as a contribution to India’s clean mobility ambitions, Santhosh extended his best wishes to the EKA team. He said the company’s efforts were helping take the country forward on the path towards a Viksit Bharat.

The inauguration highlights the growing role of domestic manufacturers in expanding India’s electric commercial vehicle ecosystem, particularly in public transport and heavy-duty mobility.
