Mata Revatibai Sanskar Kendra Inaugurated in Delhi to Promote Indian Values and National Spirit Among Children

New Delhi, July 14, 2026: As part of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) centenary year celebrations, Saraswati Bal Mandir, Rajouri Garden, under the Seva Shiksha Department of Vidya Bharati Delhi Province, inaugurated the Mata Revatibai Sanskar Kendra on Tuesday at Narendra Nath Memorial Trust, Chaupal, near T.C. Camp, Shyam Nagar, Delhi. The Sanskar Kendra has been named in honour of Revatibai, the revered mother of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana by RSS Delhi Province Prant Karyavah Anil Gupta. Vinay Gupta, Convener of the Kutumb Prabodhan Activity, Delhi Province, and Purushottam Ji, President of the Narendra Nath Memorial Trust, attended the event as distinguished guests.

In his keynote address, Anil Gupta said that Sanskar Kendras are meant to provide children not only with education but also with a strong foundation in Indian culture, moral values, patriotism and social harmony. Highlighting the spiritual and cultural significance of ‘Om’, he said that children with strong values play a vital role in building a capable society and a strong nation. He also shared his own experiences as a former student of Vidya Bharati and reflected on how those values shaped his life.

Narendra Dutt, Provincial Convener, informed the gathering that this is the sixth Sanskar Kendra of Saraswati Bal Mandir, Rajouri Garden, the 29th in the Western Division, and the 122nd Sanskar Kendra under Vidya Bharati Delhi Province. He said these centres are dedicated to nurturing Indian cultural values, patriotism, social harmony and character development among children.

During the event, a Children’s Library and the Swadhyay (Self-Study) Scheme were also launched. Attractive gifts were distributed among the students to encourage learning and participation.

Students of the newly inaugurated Sanskar Kendra presented patriotic songs, value-based songs and poems, earning appreciation from the audience for their enthusiastic performances.

Among those present were Mrs. Geeta Ahuja (Regional Seva In-Charge and Department President), Vinod Sharma (Provincial Seva Shiksha Head), Dr. Shailesh Bhardwaj (Provincial Publicity Head), along with several distinguished citizens.

The programme was conducted by Omsharan Srivastava, Provincial Seva Shiksha In-Charge, who also delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Song.

The organisers acknowledged the valuable contributions of Vijay Kumar Gupta (Western Division Minister), Mrs. Garima Gupta (Member, Divisional Seva Shiksha Committee), Dinesh Agrawal (Manager, Saraswati Bal Mandir, Rajouri Garden), Principal Mrs. Bela Mishra, and Vice Principal Binod Chaudhary for ensuring the successful conduct of the programme.
