RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Begins Three-Day Bihar Visit, Focuses on Organisational Training in Munger

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Bihar on Sunday for a three-day visit that is expected to focus on cadre development, leadership training and strengthening the organisation’s grassroots network. His visit has generated considerable interest among volunteers and functionaries, particularly in Munger, where a major training programme is currently underway.

Bhagwat landed at Patna’s Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport and was received by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. From the state capital, he proceeded to Munger, where he is scheduled to remain until June 9. Security arrangements were tightened in the district ahead of his arrival, with local authorities maintaining close coordination for the visit.

According to RSS sources, Bhagwat’s Bihar tour carries significant organisational importance. During his stay, he will participate in the ongoing Sangh Shiksha Varg, a key training initiative designed to prepare volunteers for leadership roles and expand their engagement in social and community activities.

The training camp is being held at the Saraswati Vidya Mandir campus in Puraniganj, Munger. Around 700 volunteers from different regions are currently attending multiple training sessions that focus on discipline, leadership development, social outreach and organisational management.

RSS functionaries said the objective of the programme is not only to strengthen internal coordination but also to encourage volunteers to play a more active role in addressing social challenges and community issues. Such training camps are considered crucial for preparing future leaders within the organisation.

Bhagwat is expected to interact directly with participants, offer guidance on organisational priorities and share his vision on nation-building and social service. His sessions are likely to focus on strengthening volunteer commitment and adapting to changing social realities while remaining rooted in the organisation’s core values.

Local RSS workers have expressed enthusiasm over Bhagwat’s visit, viewing it as an opportunity to interact with the organisation’s top leader and gain insights into its future direction. The atmosphere in Munger has been marked by heightened activity as volunteers and organisers prepare for a series of meetings and training events over the next few days.

The visit comes at a time when the RSS is continuing to expand its outreach and training programmes across the country, with a growing emphasis on leadership development and community engagement.
