Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini to Hold Marathon Review Meetings on Vision 2047 Roadmap

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is set to chair a series of high-level marathon meetings at the Haryana Civil Secretariat on Friday to accelerate the implementation of the state’s Viksit Haryana Vision-2047 roadmap. The day-long review sessions, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will focus on assessing the progress of key government commitments and setting priorities for the state’s long-term development agenda.

The meetings are expected to examine the implementation of promises made by the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, the state budget, and the Haryana government’s election manifesto. Senior bureaucrats, departmental heads and administrative secretaries will participate in the discussions to review ongoing projects and identify areas requiring faster execution.

Agriculture, horticulture, fisheries and animal husbandry will be among the key sectors under review. Officials are expected to present updates on existing schemes while outlining future action plans aimed at improving productivity, sustainability and rural incomes.

The Vision-2047 strategy is the Haryana government’s long-term blueprint to transform the state into a $1 trillion economy by 2047. The roadmap focuses on sustainable economic growth while strengthening infrastructure, healthcare, education, urban development, industry, digital governance and women’s empowerment. The government believes that effective implementation of these initiatives will position Haryana among India’s most advanced states over the next two decades.

Urban transformation is another major pillar of the vision document. Under the proposed Sister City initiative, cities including Gurugram, Faridabad, Panchkula and Sonipat are planned to be developed into modern, theme-based urban centres in collaboration with international partners. The plan also promotes sustainable infrastructure through mandatory rainwater harvesting in larger buildings and government complexes, alongside the establishment of waste-to-energy plants in Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Yamunanagar and Ambala.

Housing and urban amenities are also expected to receive significant attention. The government intends to accelerate its Housing for All mission while expanding facilities such as multi-level parking complexes, public Wi-Fi zones and multilingual digital information kiosks in urban areas.

In agriculture, the Vision-2047 roadmap aims to make Haryana a national model for climate-resilient and technology-driven farming. Greater emphasis will be placed on natural and organic farming, reducing dependence on chemical inputs and encouraging value-added agri-industries. The government also plans to support young entrepreneurs with subsidies, industrial plots and other incentives while promoting modern farming practices such as drone technology, AI-based soil analysis and micro-irrigation.

Healthcare reforms under the long-term plan include expanding access to cashless treatment, strengthening district-level medical institutions and increasing the use of telemedicine and AI-powered diagnostic services, particularly in rural areas. Special nutrition programmes targeting anaemia and malnutrition among women and children are also expected to be expanded.

Education and employment generation remain central to the roadmap. The government plans to integrate artificial intelligence into teaching, modernise higher education institutions, promote vocational learning from the school level and establish startup incubation centres to encourage entrepreneurship among young people.

Industrial growth is another key focus area. Haryana aims to attract greater domestic and international investment by strengthening logistics infrastructure, expanding transport connectivity and enhancing its digital single-window clearance system. Green energy adoption and net-zero industrial practices are also expected to form part of the state’s long-term industrial strategy.

Friday’s review meetings are expected to play a crucial role in monitoring the implementation of these initiatives and ensuring that government announcements and development commitments are delivered within defined timelines as Haryana moves ahead with its Vision-2047 agenda.
