Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated BJP candidate Debangshu Panda after the party secured a decisive victory in the Falta Assembly repoll in West Bengal. Calling the result a reflection of growing public trust in the BJP, Modi said the outcome showed that people in the state were increasingly backing the party’s vision and governance model.
In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister described the victory as significant and thanked voters for their support. He said the people of West Bengal had witnessed the work being carried out by the BJP-led government and had once again chosen to place their faith in the party.
The Falta repoll had attracted considerable political attention, with all major parties closely watching the outcome. BJP leaders believe the result strengthens the party’s position in West Bengal ahead of future political battles in the state.
Modi also praised BJP workers across Bengal for what he called their “outstanding efforts” on the ground. He said the dedication of party cadres had played a major role in connecting with voters and expanding the BJP’s presence in the state.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that party workers would continue working for the development and progress of West Bengal in the coming years. BJP leaders in the state described the Falta result as a morale booster and said it reflected changing political dynamics in Bengal.
Debangshu Panda’s victory margin has also become a talking point within the party, with leaders calling it one of the BJP’s strongest performances in the constituency. The result is expected to further energise BJP cadres as the party continues to push for a larger political footprint in the state.
