RSS Concludes Three-Day All-India Prant Pracharak Meeting in Belagavi, Focuses on Shakha Expansion and Social Priorities

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Sunday concluded its three-day annual Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak in Karnataka’s Belagavi, where senior functionaries reviewed the organisation’s activities over the past year and outlined priorities for the months ahead. The meeting, attended by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale and senior office-bearers from across the country, centred on strengthening grassroots outreach, expanding shakhas and addressing emerging social challenges.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was a renewed emphasis on accelerating shakha expansion across the country, particularly during September. Leaders also reviewed the progress of programmes organised as part of the RSS centenary celebrations and discussed strategies to sustain public engagement beyond the centenary year through social service initiatives.

According to the organisation, the meeting was attended by 226 functionaries, including national office-bearers, regional pracharaks and representatives from different organisational wings. A detailed review was conducted of the training camps organised after March 2026 to assess how volunteers are being prepared for expanding organisational and community activities.

The RSS said that 83 Sangh Shiksha Vargs and 12 Karyakarta Vikas Vargs were organised across India this year, with 18,842 swayamsevaks participating. The training covered a broad range of subjects, including shakha management, organisational methodology, rural development, family awareness, disaster management, environmental conservation and other areas related to community service.

Senior leaders also discussed ways to strengthen implementation of programmes at the local shakha level. Special attention was given to connecting people who came into contact with the organisation during the centenary celebrations and encouraging their participation in long-term social initiatives and the Sangh’s broader vision of societal transformation.

The meeting also reviewed Mohan Bhagwat’s proposed travel schedule for 2026-27 and examined several national issues. Discussions included the upcoming census, concerns related to demographic changes, the growing impact of drug addiction and the need to intensify awareness and de-addiction campaigns. Plans were also discussed for programmes marking the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj.

During the concluding session, participants expressed concern over the alleged irregularities in the counting of donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. The gathering voiced confidence that the ongoing investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the police would lead to a clear outcome. The meeting also expressed hope that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust would strengthen its systems to ensure such incidents do not recur and that the faith of devotees remains protected.
